The International Soft Landing Program is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based outside the United States that are ready to establish or expand operations in the U.S. market. We work best with companies that have an existing product or service, some revenue history, and a clear reason for entering the U.S. now. Company size is not a strict qualifier, but most participants have between 5 and 100 employees. If you are a solo founder at the idea stage, this program is likely not the right fit yet.
-
Yes. If your company has already made initial moves into the U.S., whether through a registered entity, a distributor relationship, or early sales, we can still add value. We help companies that are in market but not yet fully connected to the local ecosystem: the right partners, buyers, advisors, and community visibility. Where you are in the process shapes what we prioritize together.
-
We work across sectors, but our partner network is particularly strong in tech, cybersecurity and defense, life sciences and bioscience, advanced manufacturing, financial services, professional services, and international trade. San Antonio's economy is built around these industries, which means the introductions we make carry real weight. If your company operates outside these areas, reach out, and we can tell you directly whether we are a useful fit.
-
Yes. The International Soft Landing Program is a paid engagement. Pricing is structured around the scope of services and the length of your engagement, with the standard program running 12 months. Some services provided by our partner network, such as legal, tax, and financial advisory, carry their own fees outside the program cost. We are transparent about all of this before you commit to anything. Contact us to request program details and pricing.
-
Send us a message through our contact page with a brief description of your company, your industry, and what you are hoping to accomplish in the U.S. market. From there, we schedule an introductory call to learn more about your business and determine whether the program is a good fit. There is no obligation at that stage. If it makes sense to move forward, we will outline the next steps and program specifics together.
-
Not at the start. Many companies begin the program remotely and establish a physical presence as part of the process. That said, being present matters. San Antonio's business community is relationship-driven, and the companies that get the most out of the program are the ones that show up, attend introductions, and engage with the local ecosystem in person. We help you plan for that transition when the time is right.
-
It depends on your company's starting point and what "operational" means for your business. Business registration in Texas can move quickly, often within a few weeks. Building the relationships, local credibility, and market traction that actually make your U.S. presence work takes longer. The 12-month program is structured around that reality. Most companies see meaningful traction, partners identified, introductions made, and local visibility established, within the first 90 days.
-
All four cities have real business ecosystems. The difference is access and cost. In Austin, Dallas, and Houston, you are competing for attention in a crowded market with higher operating costs and a harder path to the right introductions. San Antonio offers a more direct entry point. The city has a strong concentration of federal and defense contracts, a growing bioscience and medical corridor, a large bilingual workforce, and deep trade ties to Mexico and Latin America. For international SMEs, that combination is hard to find anywhere else at this scale. And because our network is built here, the doors we open are not cold introductions.
